Vendor Profile: Dan and Karen Oehm

Dan and Karen Oehm live right here in Savannah. They have been record collectors for two decades and record vendors for last 15 years. What are they bringing to the fair?
“We will have well over 3,000 (clean) records at this April’s show. Hundreds priced at only $1 each. Over 1,000 (clean) jazz albums. Most priced at only $2 each. We will also have books, holders, cases, and a lot of other musical related items. Several hundred 45 rpm records as well, all priced at only $1.”
Dan and Karen will be on hand Saturday and Sunday are looking forward to seeing new and returning customers from the last show. They also remind attendees that they buy entire collections as well. “If you have on for sale or know someone who does, please stop by,” Dan said.
Before he moved to Savannah, “Dollar Dan” was one of my favorite dealers at the Detroit area Record Shows. Don’t let the price fool you – Dan has great stuff!
Dan and Karen were the reason why I returned to the show this year and I live in Germany. We already had our vacation planned when I read about the Spring show. So we changed the schedule to come to Savannah. I ended up buying 120 45′s and a 78 from Dan and Karen, it was well worth driving the extra 500 miles to come. Thanks!
