Joining the SCAD Radio staff is quick, easy, and relatively painless. All SCAD full- and part-time students, faculty, staff, and alumni are welcome to apply. No previous broadcast experience is necessary. Students may participate as DJs, newscasters, producers, voice actors, and street team members.
If you’d like to scope out the territory before you commit to anything, please attend one of our weekly staff meetings on Fridays at 2:00 p.m. in the Dyson (D-Hive) Common Room. There are no meetings during the breaks between quarters, but you’re always welcome to stop by for a tour.
Applicants are offered training opportunities on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon successful completion of the training program, you’ll be assigned an on-air shift. Our goal is to have the station staffed by live DJs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To do this, we’ll need an unstoppable force of interested, committed, and dependable staff members. Every quarter we lose a handful of DJs to graduation, alien abduction, and other circumstances beyond our control. As a result, we are always on the prowl for new recruits. We currently offer live programming Monday-Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m.
To get started, click here to download a staff application, complete it, and e-mail it to training@scadradio.org.

Hi Audrey, we provide music for lots of events around campus, plus we try to bring in several concerts each year. We also have bands performing in the studio throughout the quarter. Feel free to attend one of our general meetings Fridays at 2pm in the Dyson Common Room to find out more!
